“Can I spar with this sword?”
If the listing says “blunt — display edge”, then no. Only pieces listed as training gear are meant for contact: an edge of at least 2 mm and a rounded tip — and even those need full protective equipment.
Logistics
Shipping, returns and claims
Dispatch time
Listed on every sword, because it genuinely varies. A piece sitting on our shelf leaves within two working days. One sourced for your order takes weeks, and we confirm the date by e-mail before taking payment. We do not quote a single figure for the whole shop, because we could not keep it.
Shipping cost
Insured courier within Poland: PLN 29, free over PLN 2,000. Anywhere else in the European Union: PLN 100, whatever the order is worth. Parcels over 140 cm — two-handers — are quoted individually.
Packing
A rigid box, foam profiled to the blade, scabbard packed separately. Every parcel includes the measurement card for that specific piece.
Right of withdrawal
Fourteen days from delivery, no reason needed. You may unpack the sword and examine it, exactly as you would in a shop. You are liable for any loss of value beyond what examining it required. Return postage is on the buyer.
Claims
We are liable for two years from delivery for goods not matching the contract. That is a statutory obligation, not an extra warranty — we grant no separate commercial guarantee. A claim covers what was wrong with the sword when it shipped: a material fault, a crack from that fault, a badly seated hilt, a bent blade.
What a claim does not cover
The consequences of use. Rust from skipped maintenance, chips and bends after meeting something hard — wood, metal, bone — edge wear from training, scuffed scabbard leather. Every listing says plainly what a piece is for: a display replica is not cutting equipment, and a sharp blade is not sparring equipment.
Legal status
Owning a sword — where you stand
We ship from Poland, where a sword — sharp or blunt — is not on the closed list of bladed weapons in the Firearms and Ammunition Act, so owning one requires no permit. That is the law that applies to us as the seller.
It is not the law that applies to you. Blade rules differ sharply across the European Union and beyond: some countries restrict carrying, some restrict import, some set an age or a licence for sharp blades. Before you order, check what applies where you live — and remember that carriers have their own rules about what they will move across a border.
- We sell to adults only, 18 and over.
- Transport a sword sheathed, boxed and in the boot — never loose in the cabin within reach.
- Events and shows run on the organiser's rules, which are usually stricter than the law.
- Spar only with training gear and full protection: mask, gloves, limb protection.
- Crossing a border changes the rules — check the destination country before travelling.
